what is a spoiler car?

When it comes to spoilers, many people may think first of movies and television shows. After all, the term "spoiler alert" is used to alert viewers and readers about important plot twists. While spoilers are commonly associated with entertainment content, the same concept is applied to vehicles—specifically, spoiler cars.

A spoiler car is a vehicle that has been modified to enhance its aerodynamic properties. Most modifications involve adding additional body panels or wings that extend from the roof and/or back of the vehicle in order to reduce drag on air flow. These after-market parts will redirect air away from the car when it's moving which helps lessen the amount of friction created by wind resistance, resulting in better fuel efficiency and vehicle performance.

The use of spoiler cars has become increasingly popular among competitive racing circuits as well as enthusiasts who want to maximize their vehicles' street performance. Race cars that have been modified for improved aerodynamics often feature elaborate designs consisting of several overlapping wings on their roof and/or rear that sit at varying angles. These wings allow the air to be broken up so that it can better flow around the car while also providing added downforce which helps keep the car glued (as much as possible) onto the track surface during high-speed maneuvers.

Spoilers on street vehicles vary greatly in terms of style and purpose but are still an effective way of improving fuel efficiency and increasing stability at higher speeds. However, depending on how much of an alteration you make (and which brand/style you choose), these modifications could end up costing you more money than initially expected; therefore, caution is strongly recommended before making any changes to your vehicle's exterior.
